Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
 Handle routine calls for service
 Respond to emergency calls or in progress crimes
 Enforce criminal, traffic, health and safety code violations
 Assist during major emergencies and natural disasters with evacuations and perimeter security
 Prisoner transportation
 File crime and incident reports
 Conduct basic investigations
 Evaluate and secure crime scenes
 Render first aid in appropriate situations
 Locate and interview victims and witnesses
 Other duties, as assigned
 Must be a licensed peace officer with honorable discharge or academy graduate in good standing
 2 years experience as a Texas Peace Officer preferred
 Valid Texas Drivers License

Primary Job Duties
 The position reports to the patrol sergeant and is responsible for patrol assignments and other law enforcement duties as assigned by the Sheriff.

After receiving a conditional offer of employment, applicant must pass a drug screen and may need a physical agility test before becoming an employee of Waller County.
